Description: The majority of states use the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) model, including Connecticut which adopted it earlier this year. The NCCP sets recertification requirements for EMS providers of all levels. Unfortunately the NREMT process can be confusing and difficult to navigate. Education topics fall into several categories and there are limits as to how many hours can be used to fulfill each component. This presentation will break down the requirements and provide clarity to the purpose, importance, and utility of this program.
