Richard Shok, BSN, RN, NRP, EMS-I - Owner, Director, Founder - Rich brings his experiences from 12 years of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and as an Emergency Room nurse to the operation of Code One. Rich was recognized for his continuing involvement with his alma mater University of Connecticut as the recipient of the UConn School of Nursing’s Josephine Dolan Distinguished Service award in 2016 and the Alumni Association’s 2013 Graduate of the Last Decade award. Rich recently graduated in November 2016 from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program.
Allison Lampner Shok, BSN, RN - Assistant Director - Allison has been part of Code One team from its inception. Also a nursing graduate from the University of Connecticut, Allison provides valuable insight on Code One’s operational goals, long term planning, and growth. Allison oversees Code One’s community Hands-Only CPR training programs that provides free lifesaving training at community events.
Antonino Maggio, EMS-I - Regional Director - Tony joined Code One as a staff instructor when the company first started its EMS programs in 2008. As lead Emergency Medical Services Instructor, Tony was responsible for coordinating staff, managing students, and ensuring program objectives were met. In 2013, Tony was promoted to the role of Regional Director where he now oversees Code One’s northeastern operations and EMS training.
David Hiltz - Director of Quality and Development - David came to Code One with 30 years of experience in the field of resuscitation. From being on the street as a paramedic to developing and implementing national resuscitation awareness programs at the American Heart Association, David has a passion for quality training - one of the key reasons why he chose to join Code One’s management team. At Code One, David monitors programs and their instructors to assure quality and identify areas for improvement, develops and implements new training programs, and is a liaison for new and existing clients. David was recipient of the 2010 Innovators in EMS award by the Journal of Emergency Medical Services.

CPR / AED / First Aid:
American Heart Association courses providing certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automatic external defibrillation (AED), and first aid. Select this option if you are looking for a Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED training.
Emergency Medical Services:
EMS training including Emergency Medical Technician courses, EMT and EMR Refreshers, and EMS Continuing Education such as Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), or Pediatric Emergencies for Pre-Hospital Providers (PEPP). Select this option for EMT psychomotor (practical) exams.
Advanced Life Support:
American Heart Association courses in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP), or Advanced ECG Training (course for Hartford Hospital employees).
