Course Fee: $80
Includes Online Heartsaver First Aid access code, skills testing appointment, first aid materials, and two year AHA Heartsaver First Aid certification.
The Heartsaver First Aid course teaches how to recognize and treat medical emergencies and serious injury. Participants complete this training online and then meet with a Code One instructor for a skills appointment.
Course topics include:
- Medical emergencies including allergic reactions, heart attacks, stroke, seizures, and diabetes
- Injury management including bites and stings, bleeding control, and splinting
- Environmental emergencies such as heat stroke and hypothermia
This course is specifically designed for those who have a duty to respond to an emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. It is also appropriate for members of the community who want to be prepared in the event of a serious life threatening emergency.
The American Heart Association does not provide Continuing Medical Education (CME/CEU) hours for BLS courses.
Online access code, skills testing appointment, first aid material, and a 2 year American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid certification card are included in this course.
Online Heartsaver First Aid - $80
Online Heartsaver First Aid utilizes distance learning to provide participants with the recognition and care for life-threatening emergencies and relieving choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Students will learn to provide First Aid through interactive exercises and scenarios.
Skills Testing Only - $60
