The American Heart Association Online Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course teaches participants to identify and provide immediate treatment of sudden illness and life threatening injuries in infants and children. The course also instructs CPR for adults, children, and infants, and the use of an AED.
Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED is intended for individuals that work with children and need to be prepared for an emergency. Participants complete this training online and then meet with a Code One instructor to practice skills.
The Online Heartsaver Pediatric course does not meet the First Aid requirements for Connecticut daycare and childcare centers – only the instructor-led training with the Connecticut First Aid Supplemental skills portion is valid for this purpose.

Includes Online Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED access code, skills testing appointment, pocket mask, first aid materials, and two year AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification.
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course teaches how to recognize and treat medical emergencies and serious injury. Participants complete this course online and then meet with a Code One instructor for a skills appointment.
Course topics include:
- Medical emergencies including asthma, allergic reactions, heart attacks, stroke, seizures, and diabetes
- Injury management including bites and stings, bleeding control, and splinting
- Environmental emergencies such as heat stroke and hypothermia
- Relief of choking
- CPR AED for adults, children, and infants
This course is specifically designed for those who have a duty to respond to an emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. It is also appropriate for members of the community who want to be prepared in the event of a serious life threatening emergency.
This course is intended for individuals who have a duty to respond to ill and injured children because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements such as childcare providers, coaches, babysitters, and parents. This course is also appropriate for members of the community who want to be prepared in the event of a sudden illness or serious life threatening injury.
Successful completion of this course results in an American Heart Association Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification card which is valid for 2 years from the date of the course. The American Heart Association does not provide Continuing Medical Education (CME/CEU) hours for BLS courses.
Online Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course access code, skills appointment, first aid materials, a pocket mask, and a 2 year American Heart Association Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification card are included in this course.
A skills exam is completed at the end of this program. Proficient demonstration of First Aid and CPR skills are required for certification.
Online Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED - $145
Online Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED utilizes distance learning to provide participants with the recognition and care for life-threatening emergencies and relieving choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Students will learn to provide First Aid through interactive exercises and scenarios.
Skills Testing Only - $95
