Rich brings his experiences from 12 years of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and as an Emergency Room nurse to the operation of Code One.  Rich was recognized for his continuing involvement with his alma mater University of Connecticut as the recipient of the UConn School of Nursing’s Josephine Dolan Distinguished Service award in 2016 and the Alumni Association’s 2013 Graduate of the Last Decade award.  Rich recently graduated in November 2016 from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program.

Assistant Director

Allison has been part of Code One team from its inception.  Also a nursing graduate from the University of Connecticut, Allison provides valuable insight on Code One’s operational goals, long term planning, and growth.  Allison oversees Code One’s community Hands-Only CPR training programs that provides free lifesaving training at community events.

Director of Quality and Development

David came to Code One with 30 years of experience in the field of resuscitation.  From being on the street as a paramedic to developing and implementing national resuscitation awareness programs at the American Heart Association, David has a passion for quality training – one of the key reasons why he chose to join Code One’s management team.  At Code One, David monitors programs and their instructors to assure quality and identify areas for improvement, develops and implements new training programs, and is a liaison for new and existing clients.

Regional Director

Tony joined Code One as a staff instructor when the company first started its EMS programs in 2008. As lead Emergency Medical Services Instructor, Tony was responsible for coordinating staff, managing students, and ensuring program objectives were met. In 2013, Tony was promoted to the role of Regional Director where he now oversees Code One’s northeastern operations and EMS training.
Tony brings a combined 21 years’ experience as a Firefighter/EMT. He also currently holds a NAEMT Instructor status as a tactical emergency medical instructor.

Kori’s first experience at Code One was in 2013 when she completed EMT training.  Kori started working at Code One as a staff American Heart Association instructor and eventually joined our Administrative Team in 2017.  Kori oversees internal team quality, new staff training, and program development.

Office Manager - Southeast

Brian is Code One’s Southeast Division Office Manager for the Southeast Division. Brian believes that “People will sit up and take notice of you if you sit up and take notice of what makes them sit up and take notice.” Brian is a BLS Instructor and Training Site Liaison. Brian holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from South Carolina State University and Master’s of Science in Higher Education from Walden University.

Mark joined Code One in 2014 after retiring from the Medical University of South Carolina as a Flight Paramedic.  He serves as our Charleston-Savannah Team Lead and spends much of his time teaching Advanced Life Support programs and mentoring our instructors.

Ken brings over 20 years experience providing specialized training for the New York Police Department.  He has served in the city of New York as a police officer, firefighter, and paramedic.  In addition to being a faculty instructor at Code One, Ken is an educator for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Charleston, SC.

Chris Ennis, EMT

Chris is a military veteran who brings a unique perspective to the Code One team. A combat veteran of Afghanistan, Chris’s medical accomplishments in war were recognized by his unit, 2nd Battalion 4th Marines, and he was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device (“V” for valor). Chris also brings hospital experience from the Naval Medical Center San Diego, where his passion for teaching began. Chris is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering in preparation for medical school.

Trevor Harris, NRP, EMS-I

Trevor started his EMS career in 2005 right after high school in a summer EMT course and has worked with Newington EMS continuously since.  He studied biology and chemistry at the University of Connecticut graduating in 2007 and completed a Paramedic training program at Capital Community College in 2008.  He has worked in both medium sized suburban community EMS and high volume urban commercial EMS, been involved in continuing education and field training for new EMTs, and served in an administrative and supervisory role as an Assistant Chief of Service.  He also became certified as a secondary science teacher and has worked with students in advanced math, science, and engineering magnet school programs in the Hartford region.  In 2015, he joined Code One as an EMS Instructor working in both initial and recertification programs for EMTs and EMRs  and providing support for the EMS Program’s online Learning Management System as well as teaching basic and advanced resuscitation programs for the AHA.

EMS Team Lead

Greg is Code One’s EMS Team Lead and is responsible to coordinate EMS training programs and ensure program integrity.  Greg served four years in the US Air Force as a Pararescueman, as a paramedic in the city of Hartford, and as a hospital-based intercept paramedic for rural Middlesex county.  Greg teaches Code One’s EMT, AHA and Tactical Medicine programs.  He joined Code One’s team in 2016.

Tom is a passionate patient care provider who believes in delivering the highest quality of safe patient care and believes that teaching and mentoring new and current healthcare providers is an important part of improving quality of care.  As Training Center Faculty, Tom has established and mentored training sites and new instructors.  Tom has been an item writer for the NREMT advanced level cognitive examinations and has received EMS provider of the Year awards in 2012, 2013, and 2016.  Tom actively practices clinically as a paramedic.  Tom holds an MS in neuroscience from University of Hartford and a BA in biology and psychology from Bucknell University.
