FAQ
What CPR training courses does Code One offer for healthcare professionals?
Code One offers BLS Provider, ACLS Provider, and PALS Provider training courses for healthcare professionals.
Does Code One have CPR training courses for the general public?
Yes. You do not need a medical background to take the Heartsaver, “Oh Baby!” infant CPR, “CPR Superhero” hands-only CPR, or Stop the Bleed classes.
Keep in mind that only the Heartsaver CPR class has an associated course completion card that you can earn; if you’re a teacher or a babysitter looking for “certification,” Heartsaver may be the CPR training course for you.
Is the BLS/ACLS/PALS Provider training approved by the American Heart Association?
Yes. The BLS, ACLS, and PALS Provider courses are approved American Heart Association® programs that result in a two-year AHA Provider eCard specific to the course(s) taken.
I need to take a CPR certification course. Am I in the right place?
Yes. After successfully completing CPR training with any American Heart Association provider, learners will receive either a physical course completion card or an emailed eCard, often colloquially referred to as a “CPR certification.” While the American Heart Association does not use the term certification, you can be confident that the CPR eCard you earn at Code One fulfills your CPR training requirement.
Please be sure to select the correct option from our list of American Heart Association courses.
Does every Code One CPR training course confer a course completion card?
No. Only the BLS/ACLS/PALS Provider and Heartsaver courses confer a course completion card (colloquially known as a “certification”).
Individuals who complete Stop the Bleed training are eligible for an official DoD Stop the Bleed certificate.
There are no certifications or course completion cards associated with “Oh Baby” Infant CPR or “CPR Superhero” hands-only CPR courses.
When and where are CPR training courses offered?
Most Code One Training Centers accept appointments Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, though the exact hours of operation may vary by location. Code One has over 100 locations, which offer skills sessions by appointment.
See our list of locations here.
Can I complete my BLS, ACLS, and PALS training at the same skills session?
Yes. Code One’s Healthcare Provider Bundle Package allows you to complete the online portion of the HeartCode online BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses, and then come in for a single skills appointment to cover skills for all three programs.
