Code One’s “Oh Baby!” infant CPR class is a specialized training course designed to teach parents and caregivers the skills needed to handle life-threatening situations in infants or young children.
The “Oh Baby!” infant CPR class by Code One is an accessible and lower-cost alternative to full certification courses. This makes it ideal for new parents and caregivers who want to develop baby CPR and choking response skills but don’t need certification paperwork. It’s a great course for parents, family members, teachers, and babysitters who frequently work with young children outside of the medical field.

Learners are encouraged to ask any and all questions (both big and small) and spend time practicing hands-on infant CPR skills with infant manikins. Code One CPR training coaches are well-versed in emergencies for all ages and can answer questions regarding any phase of life, whether you’re learning CPR for a newborn, toddler, small child, or older.

What is an “Oh Baby!” infant CPR and choking response session?
The “Oh Baby!” course by Code One is a private, hands-on basic infant CPR class that also includes training for other life-threatening emergencies in infants and small children, such as choking or allergic reactions. It’s designed for parents, grandparents, or other caregivers who want to be familiar with infant & child CPR and choking relief skills in case of an emergency. During this 30-minute class, you’ll learn from a Code One CPR coach how to recognize cardiac arrest in infants, call for help, provide infant CPR, relieve choking, and handle allergic reactions.
Are the “Oh Baby!” infant CPR sessions approved by the American Heart Association® (AHA)?
No. This program is designed by Code One and is for general knowledge only. It does NOT confer a CPR eCard. If you are required to have a CPR certificate for work, please see our Heartsaver courses for American Heart Association eCard training.
When and where are “Oh Baby!” infant CPR classes offered?
Most Code One Training Centers accept appointments Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, though the exact hours of operation may vary by location. Code One has over 100 locations, which offer the “Oh Baby!” CPR skills sessions by appointment.

Do I need to complete an online course before scheduling an “Oh Baby!” infant CPR training session?
No. There is no online course requirement for the “Oh Baby!” CPR training. All training will be provided during your session, and your instructor may provide additional resources after the session. You may schedule your “Oh Baby!” infant CPR training session through the scheduling portal after you have registered.
Can I bring a friend or family member to my “Oh Baby!” infant CPR training session?
Yes. We invite participants to bring a second learner to the session at no extra cost! No additional registration or notification is required for the second learner to attend.
How long will it take to complete the “Oh Baby!” CPR training session?
Learners typically take about 30 minutes to complete the “Oh Baby!” infant CPR and choking response training session.
What happens during an “Oh Baby!” infant CPR training session?
Once you arrive for your scheduled appointment to a Code One Training Center location, check in using the instructions in your confirmation email. You’ll receive a phone call with the door code for entry, which will allow you access to a private room with CPR manikins and a TV screen. You’ll connect virtually to your CPR coach, who will train you on administering infant CPR and support you throughout your hands-on skills session.
By the end of the training session, you’ll be comfortable with:
- Identifying choking emergencies in infants
- Relieving choking for conscious and unconscious infants
- Recognizing cardiac arrest in infants
- Performing lifesaving cardiopulmonary resuscitation on an infant (CPR)
- Using an AED on an infant
- Recognizing and responding to severe allergic reactions
