WHAT IS AN INSTRUCTOR-LED HEARTSAVER FIRST AID CPR AED COURSE?
This course meets in-person at a Code One Training Center with an American Heart Association (AHA) instructor. Participants practice first aid and CPR skills on manikins and watch the AHA course videos. A skills evaluation is conducted during the session. Successful completion results in a two-year Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED certification eCard from the American Heart Association.

The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains lay rescuers to respond to medical emergencies, provide initial treatment to injured persons, and lifesaving CPR and use an AED for adults, children, and infants.

Course Registration
NOTE: Healthcare professionals and students in healthcare training program, such as nursing, typically need to have BLS Provider certification. Licensed childcare providers typically need to have Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification. This Heartsaver training would be the wrong course if you work in either roles.
