Instructor-Led BLS Provider
American Heart Association Training with a Live Instructor
What is an Instructor-Led BLS Course?
Our instructor-led BLS course is an alternative learning option for those who prefer live instruction to self-guided online learning. This course meets in-person at a Code One Training Center with an American Heart Association (AHA) instructor. Participants practice CPR skills on manikins and watch the AHA course videos. A written exam and skills evaluation are conducted during the session. Successful completion results in a two-year BLS Provider certification eCard from the American Heart Association.
This course includes a BLS student workbook, certification testing, pocket mask, and American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard.
Intended Audience
The American Heart Association BLS Provider course trains healthcare professionals and students with clinical responsibilities to provide lifesaving interventions to victims of cardiac and respiratory arrest.
Course Topics
- CPR for adults, children, and infants
- Use of Automated External Defibrillator
- Rescue breathing
- Two-rescuer CPR
- Choking Emergencies
Certification
Successful completion of course requirements results in a two year American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard. CME credit is only available to EMS providers in instructor-led AHA programs. If you need CME, please check out the BEACON program.
