How to Claim your AHA eCard
What is an American Heart Association (AHA) eCard?
There is frequent confusion on how to claim your AHA eCard after taking an AHA approved course. An eCard is the official digital equivalent of a printed course completion card issued by the AHA. They serve as verifiable proof that you successfully completed a provider-level training course like BLS, ACLS, or PALS.
While AHA has phased out traditional paper cards in favor of these secure digital certificates, eCards still expire two years from the last day of the month they were issued.
How to Earn an AHA eCard
Code One issues American Heart Association (AHA) eCards after the completion of any of our BLS, ACLS, PALS, or Heartsaver AHA courses.
For fully in-person classes, learners can claim their eCards at the end of their class. For HeartCode® online coursework, eCards are issued after completing the online course and in-person skills session at a CPR Verification Station™.
How to Claim and View an AHA eCard
AHA eCards can be claimed through the following methods:
- Email: Upon course completion, you will receive an email from info@code1web.com with the subject “Your AHA eCard is ready”. To claim, simply click the link in the email, and you will be taken to https://ecards.heart.org/ where you can select to view your eCard in both wallet size or full-size.
- *Note: You cannot reply to this email address. If you need additional assistance please contact our customer service team.
- AHA website: Visit heart.org/mycards. Fill in the name and email address you used to sign up for the course to access all of your eCards.
Be sure to claim and save your eCard to provide proof of certification to your employer.
