Prodigy is an approved online continuing education vendor. All online training must be completed through an approved CE vendor. All classes approved by VA OEMS are tagged in the Prodigy catalog as “Virginia”.
Virginia uses the NCCP model. Most providers complete about 40 hours for EMR and EMT, 50 hours for Advanced EMT, and 60 hours for Paramedic per recertification cycle.
Yes. Virginia accepts CAPCE-accredited continuing education, allowing most NCCP hours to be completed online.
