Intended Audience

This course is intended for individuals who have a duty to respond to ill and injured individuals because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements such as nursing assistants, coaches, personal trainers, and industrial safety teams. This course is also appropriate for members of the community who want to be prepared in the event of a sudden illness or serious life threatening injury.

Course Description

The Heartsaver CPR AED course teaches how to recognize and treat medical emergencies and serious injury.  Participants complete this course online and then meet with a Code One instructor for a skills appointment.

Course topics include:

  • Relief of choking
  • CPR AED for adults, children, and infants

This course is specifically designed for those who have a duty to respond to an emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. It is also appropriate for members of the community who want to be prepared in the event of a serious life threatening emergency.

Course Materials

Online access code, skills testing appointment, pocket mask, and a 2 year American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED certification card are included in this course.

Course Fee

$90

Includes Online Heartsaver CPR AED access code, skills testing appointment, pocket mask, and two year AHA Heartsaver CPR AED certification.

Examination

A skills exam is completed at the end of this program. Proficient demonstration of CPR skills is required for certification.

Certification

Successful completion of this course results in an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED certification card which is valid for 2 years from the date of the course.

Contactless Virtual Skills Testing for Online American Heart Associations Programs

Complete the Online AHA training module anytime and then virtually meet with a Code One instructor for skills practice and testing.

Skills @ Code One are contactless skills session at a Code One training center. eCard is issued on successful completion. Appointments are available at most locations Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM plus some Saturdays. 

Students of healthcare programs including nursing, physician assistant, and medical programs are required to have the BLS Provider level CPR course.  Follow this link for more information.
