How BEACON Courses Work

Enjoy a combination of online/on-site learning for the ultimate balance of challenge and adaptability. Start the process with an online course that can be completed at your convenience. Next, perform an on-site skills assessment at your local Code One Training Center that has everything you need to demonstrate your competence. At your assessment, you will be guided through use of the instrumented RQI manikins that measure your skills and a virtually-connected instructor may guide and coach your session. After successfully completing all required skills assessments, you will be emailed your American Heart Association eCard certificate(s).

The BEACON course process consists of five steps.

  • Register for the courses you’d like to complete
  • Complete the relevant online AHA HeartCode courses
  • Schedule an on-site independent skills assessment at your local Code One Training Center
  • Attend and successfully complete your on-site individual skills assessment at your local Code One Training Center
  • Receive your American Heart Association eCard

Each Code One Training Center offers independent skills verification sessions daily so you can schedule yours at a time that works for you. Get your certifications at a tempo that fits your life with BEACON by Code One CPR training.

Instructions for attending the skills session, check-in, and completing the session were all very easy to follow and comprehensive. The training instructor was friendly and provided constructive feedback.

Lauren H., Buffalo, NY

Fantastic experience. High quality education, efficient, convenient. I’m so grateful this service was available. My BLS was going to expire and this was a life-saver (pun intended!). Thanks so much!

Ashley V., Falls Church, VA

I am a Canadian Nurse who was able to get AHA certified by Code1. The BLS and ACLS classes were thorough and teachers/communicators were always prompt and knowledgeable. I will definitely be going back to them when it comes time to re-certify! Thank you Code1 Team!

Breena C., Syracuse, NY

An incredible option for obtaining AHA certifications. The instructor was welcoming and the environment was positive and professional. So glad I found this place!
