Step one: Learn the theory portion of your CPR class online

For most AHA CPR classes in NYC, you’ll start by completing the theory portion of the class online through HeartCode. The coursework is adaptive and will adjust the pacing to your knowledge level, targeting any gaps in your understanding.

Step two: Complete your CPR training with a hands-on skills assessment in NYC

Once the coursework is done, your CPR skills will be tested at the NYC – Flatiron District Code One Training Center. The specialized manikins offer real-time, objective feedback during your appointment, so you’ll leave feeling confident in your CPR skills.

Step three: Earn your AHA eCard

If the CPR class you’ve taken is eligible for an AHA course completion eCard, you’ll receive that upon successful completion of the hands-on skills session.

Are the Code One CPR classes in NYC approved by the American Heart Association?

Yes. The AHA CPR classes available through Code One, and which are eligible for a course completion eCard, are BLS Provider, ACLS Provider, PALS Provider, and Heartsaver CPR.

 

The classes not distributed through the AHA or eligible for eCards are “CPR Superhero” hands-only CPR, “Oh Baby!” infant CPR, and Stop the Bleed
