Background Transcutaneous pacing is a treatment option for symptomatic bradycardias unresponsive to Atropine or when Atropine is not immediately available.  Additional indications of transcutaneous pacing include symptomatic bradycardia, most commonly resulting from acute MI, sinus node dysfunction, and complete heart blocks.
